Real Name: Wesley Willard Payne
Alignment: Villain
Wesley Payne had always been a troubled soul. As a child, he had been happy and carefree, enjoying the time he spent with his parents and his older sister Rhea. However, when his parents separated, Wes chose to live with his mother, while Rhea decided to stay with their father. This decision set in motion a series of events that would shape Wes’ life forever.
Living with their mother was not easy for Wes. He felt neglected and alone, and his anger began to grow. His mother, struggling to make ends meet, had little time or energy to devote to him. The only time Wes felt truly alive was on the weekends when he went to visit his father. His dad was a former military man and an expert archer. He would take Wes out to the woods and teach him how to shoot arrows with precision and accuracy. These weekends were the only bright spots in Wes’s life, and he treasured them.
As Wes grew older, he followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the military, quickly rising through the ranks. However, his anger and resentment continued to simmer beneath the surface, and eventually, they got the better of him. Wes was dishonorably discharged from the army and found himself without a purpose.
Desperate to make a living, Wes turned to mercenary work. His skills with a bow and arrow made him a valuable asset, and he quickly became one of the most sought-after mercenaries in the business. Over time, he developed a reputation for being ruthless and efficient, never failing to hit his target.
One day, while watching TV, Wes saw The Arrow in action, a superhero who used her archery skills to fight for justice. He immediately knew that The Arrow was his sister Rhea. Seeing his sister on TV filled Wes with rage. He resented her for abandoning him and staying with their father. He felt that she had everything he wanted in life, and he decided that the only way to get his revenge was to become a supervillain.
Wes created a new identity for himself as Deathshot, a master archer with an arsenal of trick arrows. He started to use his skills for gain, taking on jobs that would bring him wealth and power. His only goal was to make his sister pay for what he perceived as her betrayal.
Rhea, who had been fighting crime as The Arrow for several years, was shocked to discover that her brother had become a supervillain. Rather than fight, she tried to reason with him, to make him see that what he was doing was wrong, but Wes refused to listen. He was consumed by his anger and hatred, and nothing could stop him.
Over time, Deathshot became one of the most feared supervillains in the world. His archery skills were unparalleled, and his trick arrows allowed him to take down even the strongest opponents. He continued to clash with The Arrow, their battles becoming legendary.
