HISS is dedicated to claiming total power and influence, by any means necessary. Its origins date to the mid-nineteenth century, when a group of adventurer-explorers called the Hadean Society became fascinated with a lost dark cult which had worshipped the power of ouroboros. The Hadeans uncovered the secrets of ouroboros could unlock the path to absolute power in the next age. HISS enclaves called Nests are scattered across the globe, each a distinct organisation competing against or working with other Nests to deliver the ultimate HISS objective.
