In the depths of Eastern Europe, in a small village shrouded in mystery, Elsa Bukovina was born into a bloodline that held a dark legacy. From an early age, Elsa could sense a power within her, an ancient force that flowed through her veins. She was descended from a long line of witches, women who possessed the ability to wield baleful magic to bend the world to their will. Elsa’s mother thought the power long gone, purged by the inquisition centuries before, but her willful daughter proved that hope to be false.
Growing up in the shadows of her ancestry, Elsa yearned for more. She craved the greater respect that her lineage deserved. However, her desires were met with disdain by the villagers, who feared the supernatural abilities that ran through her blood. They called her a witch, Elsa shunned by all outside her own family.
In her adolescence, Elsa stumbled upon an ancient tome hidden within the attic of her family home. The book, with its dry, yellow, pages covered in arcane writings and symbols, called to her. Within those ancient pages was the promise of unimaginable power. Driven by curiosity and an insatiable hunger for power, Elsa worked to unlock the secrets of the book and her bloodline.
With each incantation learned, Elsa’s powers grew stronger. She became consumed by a thirst for dominance. In mockery of the hateful words of the villagers, she called herself ‘Striga’ – a fearsome witch capable of bringing doom upon her enemies. Elsa’s transformation into Striga marked the beginning of a reign of terror that would reach other shores.
Drawn to Empire City, a sprawling metropolis filled with crime and corruption, Striga found her playground, quickly establishing a base in the Shadow’s Point neighborhood. With her dark magic, she brought chaos to the streets as Elsa reveled in her newfound power. But it wasn’t long before she caught the attention of the spell-slinging ex-military man known as Soldier Hex.
Soldier Hex became the bane of Striga’s existence, thwarting her plans and standing in her way at every turn. The enmity between them grew fierce, with each encounter escalating the conflict. Their battles became the stuff of whispered legend in the labyrinthine streets and alleyways of Shadow’s Point.
Striga’s ambition didn’t stop at Shadow’s Point or greater Empire City. She sought to expand her influence and grow her reputation. She soon aligned herself with two infamous criminal organizations – Shadow Axis and Syndicate 7. Alongside their resources, Striga became a force to be reckoned with, leaving a trail of destruction in her wake.
The people of Shadow’s Point live in fear of Striga, her name whispered in terror on the streets. Her reign of darkness threatening harm to all its citizens. But deep within her heart, Elsa Bukovina still yearned for something more. She craved recognition, not as a mere supervillain, but as a force to be respected, admired, and feared. Now she seeks greater influence. She has witnessed first-hand how power can control the person seeking it, with Grimoire controlled by his damnable book. However, Striga knows there is greater magic waiting to be unlocked, that she will master it. Perhaps in time she will unlock the secret to controlling Grimoire’s tome. From that day of her rightful ascension, Shadow’s Point, Empire City, and the entire world will tremble before the awe of Striga’s majesty.
